Privacy Policy
Effective: November 10, 2025 · Last updated: November 10, 2025
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how Meridia Ltd, operating as Starloom (“Meridia”, “Starloom”, “we”, “us” or “our”), collects, uses, and shares your information when you use our website at getstarloom.com and related services (the “Services”).
We know you're trusting us with very personal information—your birth details, your name, and sometimes your story. We take that seriously. This document is here to tell you, in clear language, what we do with that information and what choices you have.
For privacy questions, you can reach us at:
- Email: support@getstarloom.com
- Address: Starloom offices, Tel Aviv, Israel
If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the Services. By using the Services, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you give us directly
When you use Starloom, you may provide us with:
- Full name (or the name you choose to use)
- Email address (for sending your map, receipts, and important updates)
- Birth details: date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth
- Relationship status (e.g., single, in a relationship, married)
- Gender (which we may use to tailor tone and language; this field may become optional or be removed in the future)
- Any optional information you choose to share with us, for example in surveys, feedback forms, or support messages
2.2 Purchase and payment information
When you make a purchase, we receive information about the transaction, such as:
- The product you purchased (for example, a Natal Birth Map / Clarity Map)
- The price, currency, and time of the transaction
- Limited payment-related details (such as the last digits of a card or payment method type) as reported by our payment provider
We do not store full payment card numbers ourselves. Payments are processed by third-party providers such as Dodo Payments, who collect and process your payment details on our behalf. Their use of your data is governed by their own privacy policies.
2.3 Information collected automatically
When you visit or use the Services, we may automatically collect certain technical information, including:
- IP address and approximate location (based on IP)
- Device information, operating system, and browser type
- Pages or features you view, and actions you take on the site
- Dates and times of access
- Error logs and diagnostic information
We may also use analytics and advertising tools (for example, the Meta pixel and potentially Google ads/analytics tools in the future) to understand how people use the site and how our advertising performs.
2.4 Communications and support
If you contact us (for example, by email at support@getstarloom.com), we collect the information you send, such as your name, email address, and the content of your message. We keep these communications so we can respond to you and improve our support.
We may also collect information from surveys or interviews you choose to participate in, which help us understand how Starloom is working for you.
3. How we use your information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
3.1 To provide the Services
- To calculate your natal chart and generate your Natal Birth Map / Clarity Map based on your birth details
- To tailor the language and tone of your map (for example, using name, gender if provided, or relationship status)
- To send your map, order confirmations, and other transactional emails to your email address
- To process payments and fulfill your purchases
3.2 To communicate with you
- To respond to your questions, feedback, or support requests
- To send important information about your purchase, the Services, or changes to our policies
- In the future and only with your consent, to send optional marketing communications (for example, updates about new features or offers). You will always be able to unsubscribe.
3.3 To operate, maintain, and improve Starloom
- To understand how people navigate and use the site so we can make it smoother and more helpful
- To troubleshoot, debug, and protect against errors and technical issues
- To analyze usage in an aggregated or anonymized way so we can decide what to build next
3.4 For safety, legal, and compliance reasons
- To detect, prevent, or investigate fraud, abuse, or other harmful activity (for example, repeated misuse of the refund policy)
- To keep appropriate business records, including transaction records for accounting and taxes
- To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from authorities when required
4. Legal bases for processing (for users in the EEA/UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom, or a region with similar laws, we process your personal data under one or more of the following legal bases:
- Performance of a contract: When we process your data to provide the Services you requested, such as generating your map and handling your purchase.
- Legitimate interests: When we process data to maintain and improve the Services, keep them secure, prevent fraud, and understand usage in a way that does not override your rights and freedoms.
- Consent: When we use certain technologies (like marketing pixels in some regions) or send optional marketing communications. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
- Legal obligations: When we retain data for accounting, tax, or regulatory requirements.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We may share your information in the following limited situations:
5.1 Service providers
We work with trusted third-party service providers who help us operate the Services. These may include:
- Payment processors (currently Dodo Payments)
- Website hosting and infrastructure providers
- Email delivery and customer support tools
- Analytics and error monitoring services
- AI service providers (currently OpenAI) to generate personalized chart interpretations based on your birth data
These providers are only allowed to use your information to perform services for us and are not permitted to use it for their own independent purposes.
5.2 Advertising and analytics partners
We may use tools such as the Meta pixel and, in the future, similar tools from Google or other providers to:
- Measure how our ads perform
- Understand how visitors move through our site
- In some cases, show you more relevant ads for Starloom on other platforms
In the future, and only in line with applicable laws and where appropriate consents are in place, we may use hashed customer lists (for example, email addresses) to create lookalike audiences or reach existing customers on platforms like Meta or similar services.
We do not allow third parties to freely track you across unrelated websites for their own purposes using data they collect from Starloom.
5.3 Legal and safety reasons
We may disclose your information if we believe it is reasonably necessary to:
- Comply with a law, regulation, legal process, or government request
- Protect the safety, rights, or property of Starloom, our users, or the public
- Detect, prevent, or address fraud, security issues, or technical problems
5.4 Business transfers
If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of all or part of our business, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to commitments to continue protecting it as described in this Privacy Policy.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels and local storage) to run the Services, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and, where applicable, measure and improve our advertising.
Details about the types of cookies and similar technologies we use, and how you can control them, are described in our separate Cookie Policy, which will appear alongside this Privacy Policy.
In general, you can control cookies through your browser settings (for example, by blocking or deleting them). In some regions, you may also see a banner or settings panel that allows you to manage certain categories of cookies and similar technologies.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep your information only for as long as we reasonably need it for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, or as required by law. This typically means:
- Birth and profile data (such as your name, email, birth details, relationship status, and gender if provided) are stored so we can generate your map, allow you to revisit it, and potentially create future maps without asking you to re-enter everything. We keep this information as long as you have an active relationship with Starloom, unless you ask us to delete it or we no longer need it.
- Transaction records are kept for as long as needed for tax, accounting, and legal compliance (often up to around 7 years, depending on the jurisdiction).
- Technical logs and analytics data are kept for a reasonable period so we can operate, secure, and improve the Services, after which they are deleted or anonymized.
- Support communications are kept for as long as necessary to manage your requests and, in some cases, to understand and improve how we support users.
8. How we protect your information
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to help protect your personal information, such as:
- Encryption in transit (for example, HTTPS on our website)
- Working with reputable hosting and infrastructure providers
- Limiting access to personal data to team members who need it to do their job
- Using established payment providers (such as Dodo Payments), so we do not store full payment card details ourselves
However, no online service can ever be 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security, but we do our best to keep your information safe and to respond promptly if we become aware of any issues.
9. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have certain rights over your personal information. These can include:
- Access: You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: You can ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Deletion: You can ask us to delete your personal data, subject to legal or contractual requirements.
- Restriction / objection: You can ask us to limit or stop certain processing, for example for marketing.
- Portability: In some cases, you can ask for your data in a structured, commonly used format.
- Withdraw consent: Where we process data based on your consent (for example, marketing emails), you can withdraw that consent at any time.
You can exercise these rights by contacting us at support@getstarloom.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. There may be situations where we cannot fully comply with a request—for example, if we must keep certain data for legal or accounting reasons—but we will explain this if it happens.
In regions such as the EEA, UK, or similar, you may also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority if you are unhappy with how we handle your information. We would appreciate the chance to address your concerns first, so please consider contacting us before taking that step.
For marketing emails (once we offer them), you will always be able to unsubscribe via the link in the email or by contacting us at any time. For cookies and similar technologies, you can use your browser settings and, where available, our cookie controls.
10. International data transfers
Starloom is based in Israel, and our service providers may be located in other countries, including countries outside of your own. This means your information may be stored and processed in places with different data protection laws than those in your jurisdiction.
Where required by law (for example, for transfers from the EEA or UK), we will use appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms, to help protect your personal data when it is transferred internationally.
11. Children
The Services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe that someone under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at support@getstarloom.com and we will take steps to delete it where appropriate.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes, we may take additional steps to notify you (for example, by posting a notice on our site).
Your continued use of the Services after any changes become effective means you accept the updated Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with the updated Privacy Policy, you should stop using the Services.
13. Additional information for California residents
If you are a resident of California, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA). This section applies to you.
13.1 Categories of personal information we collect
Over the last 12 months, we may have collected the following categories of personal information about you, as those terms are defined in California law:
- Identifiers, such as your name and email address
- Customer records, such as purchase history and transaction details
- Internet or other electronic network activity information, such as usage data, logs, IP address, and device/browser information
- Geolocation data, in a general sense (for example, approximate location based on IP address)
- Inferences, such as internal notes or insights derived from your interactions with us (for example, aggregated usage patterns used to improve the Service)
We collect these categories of information from the sources described in this Privacy Policy (for example, directly from you, automatically from your use of the Services, and from our service providers), and we use them for the purposes described in the section “How we use your information.”
13.2 “Selling” or “sharing” personal information
We do not sell your personal information for money.
We may work with advertising and analytics partners (for example, using tools like the Meta pixel and similar services) to understand how our ads perform and to reach people who may be interested in Starloom. Under California law, some of this activity may be considered “sharing” personal information for “cross-context behavioral advertising.”
You have the right to direct us not to “sell” or “share” your personal information for these purposes. If you wish to exercise this right, you can contact us at support@getstarloom.com and we will explain the options available to you. In the future, we may also provide a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link or settings page where required by law.
13.3 Your California privacy rights
Subject to certain exceptions, California residents may have the right to:
- Know the categories of personal information we collect about you, the categories of sources from which we collect it, the business or commercial purposes for which we use it, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclose it
- Access specific pieces of personal information we hold about you
- Delete personal information we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising
- Limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information (to the extent we process any that is considered “sensitive” under California law)
You can exercise these rights by contacting us at support@getstarloom.com. We may need to verify your identity before we can respond to your request. You may also authorize an agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to verification and any requirements under California law.
Some information may be exempt from these requests (for example, if we must keep it for tax, accounting, or legal reasons). If we cannot fulfill your request, we will explain why.
13.4 Non-discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your privacy rights under California law. This means, for example, that we will not deny you services, charge you different prices, or provide you with a different level or quality of service solely because you exercised your rights.
14. Contact us
If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us at:

- Address: Starloom offices, Tel Aviv, Israel
This Privacy Policy is meant to give you a clear picture of how we treat your information. It is not legal advice. If you need legal guidance about your rights, please consult a lawyer in your jurisdiction.
